Renard House

Transforming a modest fieldstone farmhouse

direct mandate – completed

Location | Félines-sur-Rimandoule (26) France • Client | Private • Type | Heritage regeneration and extension • Project period | 2013 - 2015• Surface area | 450 000 m²

Made of fieldstone, the building overlooks the forests and river that make up the landscape of Féline-sur- Rimandoule. Transforming a modest farmhouse into a rural residence, the vibrant exposed-stone walls contrast with the strict lines of the bush-hammered concrete reinforcements, match the imperfection of the terracotta, and fit in with the rigour of the dressed-stone lintels.
