2nd price – open competition

Location | Mont-Sur-Rolle (VD) Switzerland • Client | Fédérations des vignerons • Type | New construction wine showrom • Project period | 2016 • Surface area | 710 m²

This is a building for the federation of winegrowers. It comprises an administrative office, showroom, tasting room, seminar room, restaurant, and cellars. Located in the middle of the vineyards, the urban development is consistent with the historical evolution of the village. Furthermore, in order to reduce the environmental impact of its construction and in particular the disturbance caused during construction, we used solid-stone and dry-assembly building techniques in which as many elements as possible were prefabricated outside the building site. We chose prefabs that had the lowest carbon footprint and used the least amount of water – a scarce and precious resource.
