Silvermine

Scenographic exposition

Direct mandate – delivered

Location | Vendôme (41) France • Client | Thomas Sauvin • Type | Exposition • Project Period | 2016

As part of the Vendôme photographic walks, the Archiplein workshop created Thomas Sauvin's scenography in the St Jacques chapel. In Beijing, the collector recovered film rolls destined for destruction and collected more than 750,000 images. The exhibition, entitled Beijing Silvermine, ran from 24 June to 18 September 2016. On the walls of the chapel were images of Chinese people: young, old, twins, lovers, smiling, unlikely. An entire society, on the other side of the planet, observed here in its intimacy, which is hard to imagine.
