The urban project seeks to move away from the notion of vis-à-vis by working on an organisation of radiating volumes that are continuous with the existing urban system of longitudinal blocks. Taking advantage of its location at the head of the site and its large size compared to the other buildings, the nursing home is located to the south of the site, as a concluding element of the urban system. Its articulated volume follows the flow of traffic and the general shape of the site. This position also gives it a large garden on the west side, providing a real counterpoint to the neighbourhood's central public space. Two features emerge in this urban composition: the curved upper street, which continues the existing traffic flow and slopes gently down to connect with the Chemin du Château Sec. The latter is punctuated by large breaks in the landscape. The second feature is the central square around which the low-rise buildings are arranged in a radial pattern. The ground floors house all the commercial premises that contribute to the activation of this major public space. It is designed as a village square, planted in the centre with large deciduous trees that form a protective canopy in summer.
